Hello ,
I'm sorry there was no newsletter last week. To say our week was crazy busy is an understatement. The good news is that we closed on the house and are in it. I wouldn't call it "moved-in", but we're starting to get all the basics together.
The bad news is that the night after we closed, the water-main broke right in front of our house, flooding the street and the yard. Because of this, we had to cancel the internet installation. We were finally able to get online at the beginning of this week. The cable is currently running over our street, but it's working. That's all that counts, right? The cable company is supposed to come out and run it under the road - sometime :D
With the way things have been going, I've been half expecting them to show up as I'm finishing this newsletter for you, but so far so good.
We're enjoying our new surroundings and between limited kitchen supplies and a few trips to check out local parks, picnics and cookouts have been on my mind this week. That's why I thought I'd share a few recipes and a helpful article on serving salads safely at your picnic with you this week.
