Hi ,
Note: I'm re-sending because I messed up the link to the blog post. The "Making Dinner For Another Family" blog post is at
It's corrected in the email below as well. My sincere apologies for the mistake.
Happy Monday, and Happy Presidents Day (for those in the US). It's one of those rare school holidays this time of the year. We missed a lot of school early in the year because of a hurricane and record flooding, so there haven't been a lot of days off this year. I enjoyed being able to sleep in a bit and look forward to spend a little extra time with my daughter today. We discovered a cute Australian TV show from the early 2000s called "McLeod's Daughters" on
Amazon Prime. I'm sure we'll watch a few more episodes later this afternoon or tonight.
For now I wanted to share a blog post with you that I wrote this past week about taking dinner to another family. In it I go into a bit more detail about why blessing someone with a home-cooked meal is so important. It's of course what motivated me to write "Make and Take Meals".
I am surprised and delighted how well the book was received. It has earned #1 release in several categories on Amazon. That's in big part due to your support. Thank you!
If you've bought and read the Make and Take Meals cookbook, please consider leaving a review on Amazon. Not only does it help me as an author, it's also helpful for other's who are considering purchasing the book. Reviews don't have to be long or complicated. Just a sentence or two about what you liked or why you picked up the book would suffice.
Let's get back to the blog post I published this week. It's called "Making Dinner For Another Family - Showing Kindness with Food". You can read it here:
It's a longer post, but well worth the read. I go into my reasons for writing the book into a lot more detail. I hope you get something out of it. Feel free to share it on social media if you feel the idea is worth spreading.
There's also a pin for it on Pinterest if you want to save it for later:
I'll share one of my favorite recipes from the book with you later this week. Stay tuned for that. For now I have a sink of dirty dishes waiting for me and I want to get a little work done on the next HBHW Kindle cookbook.
