We're wrapping up Christmas preparations around here and are getting ready to travel to spend the Holidays with family. In other words, I have a lot of laundry, cleanup and packing to do today :) 

I thought I'd share my favorite Christmas dessert with you this morning. A HBHW reader shared it years ago and it's been a favorite around here ever since. It looks so pretty and festive. It's Christmas Ice Cream. 

I love how versatile the recipe is. You can use plain vanilla ice cream as the base (maybe even homemade), or you can choose your favorite flavor. Add some dried fruit, soaked in spirits and if you'd like some nuts and refreeze. It looks beautiful and is absolutely delicious. If you're serving the ice cream to kids, there are two options to still get lots of flavor, but no alcohol in the finished ice cream. Either way, the end result is amazing and the perfect end to a Christmas meal.
