Car Trouble and Back To School Help Is Here

Published: Wed, 08/12/15

It's hard to believe that summer break is almost over. We just got back from our last little trip out of down. We had planned to head to the mountains for a hike and then visit with my in-laws on the way back. Unfortunately our car didn't cooperate. It started making some weird noises and we decided to skip the mountains and head to the in-laws right away. My husband and his dad spend a day working on the car and getting it back into good enough shape for us to drive home. We'll be taking it to the shop later this week and find out what exactly is wrong and how much it's going to cost us to fix it. Keep your fingers crossed that it won't be too bad.

I'm just happy we were able to make it back home late last night. I'll be spending the rest of the day doing laundry, working on this week's issue of the HBHW newsletter and wrapping up some back to school stuff for our daughter. And if there's time, I might make a batch of pickles from our garden cucumbers.

Speaking of back to school... my friend Christine from Authentic Moms is taking it a step further. She's returning to College this year - yikes. With 5 kids in school and going back to school herself, that's going to be a huge change for her family. To help prepare, she's pulled together some amazing resources and decided to share them.

Christine put together a "Back To School" bundle that includes 12 resources that will help you establish fall routines, fix quick and easy breakfasts, lunches and snacks, help you save at the grocery store and more.

My favorites are the printable technology punch cards and the year's worth of snack ideas. They are perfect for after-school snacks, or pack a couple of them as a packed lunch. Which one's your favorite?

Warmly,

P.S.: For the next couple of days you can snag up the back to school bundle for $10. I love it when Christine offers a super low introductory price to her ebooks, don't you?
