Growing Your Own Food
Hello ,

I'll be spending a lot of time in the garden this weekend replanting for the fall. How about you? Are you growing anything this year?

If you're new to gardening, take a look at today's Tasty Bites post about an almost free pallet garden. It's a great way to get started.

If you're ready to dig in a little deeper and start growing plenty of veggies right in your back yard (or in some containers on your porch or balcony), take a look at the latest HBHW Ebook - Vegetable Gardening Made Simple

It's on sale for $4 through Wednesday. My goal is to get this out to as many people as possible and encourage them to start growing some of their own food at home.

With rising food prices, and drought conditions in areas where most of our produce is grown, becoming a little more self-sustaining is making more and more sense ...

Of course then you have to figure out what to do with all that produce . If you ask me, that's a good problem to have.

Last night I used a bunch of tomatoes, peppers, onion, celery and even some zucchini to make a big batch of chili with added veggies. It was healthy, delicious and pretty cheap. I'll share the recipe in the next day or two.

Another favorite around here when tomatoes and peppers are in season is this Roasted Bell Pepper Tomato Soup. Super tasty and freezes well.
