How was your weekend? We spent much of it working in the garden. It's a lot of work, but also fun and we're starting to get our first few tomatoes and radishes. Having tomatoes fresh from the vine definitely makes it worthwhile.
I thought I'd share another
recipes from the latest HBHW Kindle cookbook with you today.
Here's it is. I hope you'll enjoy it as much as we have.
Ground Beef Stroganoff
Who doesn't love a nice plate of beef stroganoff? Skip the Hamburger helper version this week and just
toss the ingredients below into your slow cooker.
When I'm using "Cream of Anything" soup instead of the canned soups mentioned below, I add an envelope of dry onion soup mix (store brand is fine) to the mix.
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 cup chopped
onion
- 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed cream of onion soup
- 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed golden mushroom soup
- 4 oz. fresh mushrooms, chopped
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese, cubed
- 1 (8 oz.) container sour cream
- Egg Noodles, cooked according to package directions
In a large skillet over medium high heat, brown ground beef and onion until meat is no longer pink. Drain and add to slow cooker.
Add soups, mushrooms and pepper to slow cooker, mix well.
Cover and cook for 8-10 hours on low.
Uncover, stir in cream cheese until melted.
Fold in sour cream
just before serving.
Serve over hot egg noodles.
