We made it back from Germany. We flew back on the 2nd, stayed with family on the 3rd and drove back home yesterday. It was a big whirl wind of a trip back and I'm sorry I wasn't able to blog and share as much as I wanted to while I was visiting with my folks in Germany. We ended up being a lot busier than anticipated and then my daughter and I got sick. We ended up with ear and eye infections and are wrapping up a round of antibiotics. We're feeling fine and didn't have too much trouble on the flight back. 

We're getting settled in back home. I finished unpacking and have the first load of laundry in the washer. I'll start going through some notes I've taken, recipes I've jotted down and of course the pictures I took this afternoon and start sharing them on the HBHW site and Facebook page.

I hope you and your family are enjoying a fun and relaxing Holiday weekend (it's was Independence Day here in the US). I'm going to continue working on laundry while watching a bit of sports with my husband. The World Soccer cup is still going on and today is the first day of the Tour De France cycling race. And of course there's the garden to take care of. We're getting plenty of tomatoes, cucumbers and banana peppers right now, all of which are delicious. 

I think we have enough peppers to experiment with some canning recipes tomorrow. I'll let you know how that goes and of course share any good recipes.
