[HBHW] When a friend asks for your help...

Published: Thu, 02/13/14

Hello ,

It feels like it's been a week since I sent you the last newsletter... when it's been barely over 24 hours.  Yesterday was a long day filled with worries, power outages and tree branches falling all around the house. Something good came out of it though. I am much more appreciative of all my creature comforts like heat, warm water, coffee and the internet.

Over the years I have made some great friends online and I didn't realize how much I miss being able to chat with them at the spur of the moment until I wasn't able to do so yesterday afternoon. Thankfully we have our power back and I was able to get an email from my good friend Christine last night. As you know, she's in the process of adopting a boy from the Ukraine. In fact, they just got back from a short trip over there and are flying back out in 2 weeks (hopefully returning with their son). I know her days are filled with excitement, but also plenty of anxiety and worry... one of them being that plane tickets are higher than they had budgeted for.

After a day full of worries here about trees falling and thankfully no major damage to our property, it feels nice to be able to do something to help a friend. Which is where you come in. Can you help me help Christine? She's trying hard to raise some additional funds to cover the plane tickets in the two weeks she's here with her other kids. She put together a special Bundle of Printable meal planners (they are beautiful) and some wonderful ebooks including:

  • Kid Approved Meals
  • A Year Of Snacks
  • An Organized Kitchen
  • It's Sleepover Party Time
  • Bulk Cooking For The Freezer (Ground Beef)
Take a look:

She bundled everything together for $10. I think the meal planners alone are easily worth that much.  I would consider it a personal favor if you could buy a copy of the bundle. You are of course also welcome to share the offer with family and friends.

Warm Regards,
Susanne - The Hillbilly Housewife

P.S.: The special bundle is only available through Thursday Feb. 20th since Christine will be busy traveling to Ukraine. Get a copy while you can and help support her family.
