[HBHW News] All About Beans

Published: Wed, 02/05/14

Hello ,

and welcome to a new edition of the HBHW newsletter. This week we're celebrating one of my favorite frugal foods - Beans. Hardly a week goes by where I don't have a big pot of beans or bean soup simmering on the stove. I thought it was about time I wrote a whole newsletter edition around it.

And while I had beans on my mind, I also put some of my all-time favorite bean recipes together into a new Kindle cookbook. It's called "The Thrifty Bean Cookbook". I'm excited to see who will be the first person to write a review of it on Amazon.

Of course I'm also sharing some fun new bean recipes, have some great tips for using leftover beans that you may not have come across yet and then there's the article where we discuss the question of whether or not you need to soak beans before cooking them.

The new "Sites of Note" feature has been a big hit and Tracy and I have a blast finding new sites for you that relate to the topic of the newsletter. This week I'm revisiting some old friends that deserve another "shout-out". I hope you agree.

I hope you enjoy this edition of the newsletter and take a moment to comment either on the HBHW website or the HBHW Facebook Page.

Let's dive right in...
