[HBHW News] A Fresh New Start

Published: Wed, 01/01/14

Hello ,

and welcome to the first edition of the HBHW newsletter in 2014.I love the first of the year. It's a fresh new start and anything is possible. It's also a time for New Year's resolutions and I've made a big one this year. You can read more about it in this week's editorial.

This week's recipe is for some yummy collard greens that you can cook right in your crockpot. In the frugal tip I'm sharing my best ideas for using leftover ham. One of the things I love about this site is that I'm not the only one sharing tips, ideas and recipes. Take a look at the comments for even more suggestions.

My favorite part this week was writing the featured article. I got to do a little research on why we eat collard greens and black-eyed peas on New Year's Day. You can read all about the fun stories I came across in the newsletter.

To save this edition to your computer, click on the link. The pdf file will open in your favorite browser. Click on "Page" and then "Save As" in your browser toolbar to save the newsletter. You can also find each copy in the HBHW newsletter archive here:

I had a lot of fun putting this together for you and I hope you enjoy it as well.

Warm Regards,
Susanne - The Hillbilly Housewife
