[HBHW] Final Reminder and Spaghetti Ice Cream

Published: Tue, 07/31/12

Hello ,

We had a great time in Saarbruecken yesterday and found a few cute shirts for DD. We also went into a HUGE Lego store. It's amazing what kind of things you can build with little blocks, but the prices of the larger sets sent me into shock. I ended up getting just a small box of Duplo blocks (the large version of Lego) for my 18 month old nephew. He and DD are already having a blast playing with them.

For lunch we ended up having ice cream (we're on vacation after all). My favorite is the spaghetti ice cream. Here's how to make it. Put a dollop of whipped cream on a plate. Put slightly softened vanilla ice cream into a potato ricer and squish it through to get something that looks like a pile of cooked pasta. Squirt it over the whipped cream. Top with cold strawberry sauce or puree and either finely chopped almonds or grated white chocolate to make it look like pasta covered in sauce and topped with Parmesan cheese.  Yum!

The reason I'm emailing you today, wasn't to talk about ice cream though.... It's just a quick reminder about the Christmas in July ebook sale that ends tonight.
