[HBHW News] Easter Food Symbolism and Baking

Published: Wed, 04/04/12

Hello ,

Welcome to another edition of the Hillbilly Housewife Newsletter. Easter is almost here ... one of my favorite holidays. I love the fact that it is not as commercialized as Christmas. In this week's featured article, since I'm talking about Easter food, I thought I'd share a little history and symbolism behind some of the foods we traditionally serve during the Easter season.

This week's quote relates to the Easter Story, while the story is an ode to bread, and how we should treat it. Please take a moment to read and enjoy.

Here's today's edition of the newsletter:

I had a lot of fun putting this together for you and I hope you enjoy it as well. Please take a moment to look through the "I'm Looking for " requests and help a reader out with a recipe if you can. Of course you are always welcome to also share a frugal recipe or tip.

Warm Regards,
Susanne - The Hillbilly Housewife
