[HBHW News] Fundraiser For Tornado Victims and Fewer Morning Struggles

Published: Wed, 03/07/12

Hello ,

Welcome to another edition of the Hillbilly Housewife Newsletter. I have a fun and exciting day ahead of me. I'm getting ready to go on a field trip with my daughter's 3rd grade class. We are headed to a living history village and Revolutionary War site here in SC called Brattonsville. If you watched the movie "The Patriot", you've seen parts of it that were filed here. It should be a fun field trip and a great way to bring this time in our history to life for the kids.

In this week's featured article, I share some of my best tips for getting the kids ready in the morning. And yes, I'll be using quite a bit of that this morning to make sure we leave on time for school.

On a more somber note, I'm sure you've seen and heard in the news friends and neighbors in America have suffered unbelievable tragedies due to the tornadoes and other storms that have ripped through the country.  My friend Patti Winker ofRemarkableWrinklies.com has figured out a way to raise funds for the Red Cross, and I decided to do my part, as well.

I had a lot of fun putting this together for you and I hope you enjoy it as well. Please take a moment to look through the "I'm Looking for " requests and help a reader out with a recipe if you can. Of course you are always welcome to also share a frugal recipe or tip.

Warm Regards,
Susanne - The Hillbilly Housewife
