[HBHW News] Canning 101 and Expert Tips For Saving

Published: Wed, 10/19/11

Hello ,

One of the things I love about fall is that it's cool enough to pick up knitting again. For some reason one of my favorite hobbies just isn't as much fun when it's hot outside (though I've been known to bring my knitting to the beach). Now that it's getting much cooler, it's time to grab my needles and get busy. To get back into practice, I knit up two new dish cloths. Yesterday, I headed out to a local yarn shop and picked up some lovely wool for my first fall project ... a nice warm cowl.

I have gotten some real positive responses back from my new ebook - Canning Made Simple.  But, I've also had a lot of people ask me if there is some way to know what to expect when they start canning.  Yes, investing time and money into a big project like canning is a little scary.  That's why I decided to put together a FREE resource for you.  Be sure to click on the link for Canning 101 - Free Resource in today's newsletter to download your copy.

In this week's featured article, we cover the basics of why you should consider canning food at home.  It may surprise you to learn some of the ideas behind preserving your own produce, as well as other foods.

This week's quote and story are about living life to the fullest, and being aware of all you have to offer. Please take a moment to read and enjoy.

I had a lot of fun putting this together for you and I hope you enjoy it as well. Please take a moment to look through the "I'm Looking for " requests and help a reader out with a recipe if you can. Of course you are always welcome to also share a frugal recipe or tip.

Warm Regards,
