[HBHW News] Healthy Frugal Bean Burgers and Spring Planting

Published: Wed, 03/30/11

Hello ,

Welcome to another edition of the Hillbilly Housewife Newsletter.

The featured article this week is all about taking advantage of what will hopefully be a good planting season.  This particular article is geared towards a child's garden.  Be sure to scroll down and click on to read this step-by-step guide to plan a garden with your kids.

Every week in our recipe sharing section, we feature a recipe submitted by a reader.  Since March is "National Nutrition Month" I've decided to share a delightful recipe that is good and good for you, especially if you're trying to cut back on red meat AND save money at the same time.  Be sure to check it out.

This week's quote and story are about, what else, Springtime and wishes. March is almost over and what a volatile month it's been! With the season in turmoil, it's good to be reminded that out of all that cold, ice, snow, rain, and wind comes some of the most beautiful sights, aromas, and sounds. I hope you'll enjoy both the quote and story this week.

Here's today's edition of the newsletter:

I had a lot of fun putting this together for you and I hope you enjoy it as well. Please take a moment to look through the "I'm Looking for " requests and help a reader out with a recipe if you can. Of course you are always welcome to also share a frugal recipe or tip.

Warm Regards,
