[HBHW News] Memorial Day and Summer Cooking

Published: Wed, 05/25/11

Hello ,

Time sure seems to fly during these spring months. It's hard to believe that Memorial Day is coming up and the school year is about to end.

Our featured article is about helping you get ready for summer weather... more specifically, summer cooking.  If you've been reluctant to turn on the oven because it's getting hot outside, you may want to pull out the grill. Of course you'll also find some yummy summer recipes.

This week's quote and story are about Memorial Day.  Beyond being the 'unofficial start of summer' Memorial Day should be about a time to remember our military families.  Please take time to read our quote and story, and to say a special Thank You to someone you know who has served their country.

Here's today's edition of the newsletter:

I had a lot of fun putting this together for you and I hope you enjoy it as well. Please take a moment to look through the "I'm Looking for " requests and help a reader out with a recipe if you can. Of course you are always welcome to also share a frugal recipe or tip.

Warm Regards,
Susanne - The Hillbilly Housewife
