Welcome to another edition of the Hillbilly Housewife Newsletter. Now that we've moved into a new month, I thought it would be a good time to talk about examining some of those fresh starts, or maybe new beginnings we planned; you know, those promises you made to yourself at the first of the year.

With that in mind, our featured article this week is about accomplishing one of our familiar goals - eating healthy. Besides saving money, the most often stated resolution for a New Year is eating well and losing weight. Since this is such a familiar theme, I thought I'd do some investigation into one food that's gotten a lot of attention recently - quinoa.  Be sure to scroll down and see why this is one super-food you want to try.

This week's quote and story are about starting fresh. The story is also a reminder, with a bit of a chuckle, to look around for lessons from those who enjoy life the most.
