[HBHW News] Making You Resolutions Stick and Frugal Homemade Tahini

Published: Wed, 01/19/11

Hello ,

Welcome to another edition of the Hillbilly Housewife Newsletter. Tomorrow is my baby-girl's eight birthday. That's a little hard to believe... seems like just last month that I gave birth to her. A good friend of mine shared a saying with me that really resonated: The Days Are Long But The Years Are Short. One of my resolutions this year is to make an effort to spend a lot more quality time with my family and to build some wonderful memories. Speaking of resolutions...

My New Year's Resolutions have come to haunt me.  I make them every year, and every year I start to fall off and lose sight of my goals about mid-January.  If you find yourself in the same rut, take a look at the great new resource I developed to help you (and me!) stay on track.

Our featured article this week is about perseverance and beating the seemingly unbeatable odds of illness and poverty.  If you can, please take a moment to scroll down and click on the link to read our featured article.

This week's quote and story are also about perseverance - hanging in there perhaps longer than anyone else would.  The results, and rewards, of sticking with something difficult may just be surprising. I hope you'll take a moment or two out of your busy day to read and reflect on today's quote and story.

Here's today's edition of the newsletter:

I had a lot of fun putting this together for you and I hope you enjoy it as well. Please take a moment to look through the "I'm Looking for " requests and help a reader out with a recipe if you can. Of course you are always welcome to also share a frugal recipe or tip.

Warm Regards,
Susanne - The Hillbilly Housewife

P.S. Are you ready to make your New Year's Resolutions stick?
